The Zombie Gang is a group of petty criminals from Bangalla that have crossed paths with The Phantom on several occasions.
Fictional Character Biography
The gang consists of five people: "Bones" Jones, Leon Leman, Chuck Hale, "Mouse" M'Bere and "Doc" Aron. Their first meeting with the Phantom took place after the gang had been sentenced to a stint at the Boomsby prison. On their way to prison, the car crashed and the gang could escape. They fled to the jungle where they posed as dead people returning from their graves in order to stal from the jungle tribes. This is what gave them the nick-name "The Zombie Gang". They were stopped by The Phantom and ended up at Boomsby. Buried Alive
After several years in prison, the gang was set to be released from Boomsby. The night before their release, they said farwell to a fellow prisoner named Joshua "Old Josh" Sweet, who was dying. Josh wanted the gang to be his heirs, and left them a mansion outside Mawitaan. However, Josh's former accomplices believed that the money from their last job was hidden in the mansion, and by framing the Zombie Gang members for various crimes they wanted to take control of the mansion. When the gang's leader Bones was the only one left he saw no other option but to find The Phantom in the jungle and ask for help, despite their previous encounter. With help from The Phantom, the real criminals were finally caught. And on top of that, the Zombie Gang found the money hidden in Josh's mansion. Return of the Zombies
