"The Whispering Statue" is a 1983 Team Fantomen story, written by Donne Avenell, with art by Heiner Bade.
Plot synopsis
Visiting the jungle for a hunt, prince Buljhi has his men kidnap a young woman, Lilli, to add her to his harem in his kingdom in The Misty Mountains. To honour her beauty he orders his royal woodcarver to make a wood statue of her. The woodcarver and a group of soldiers cut down a tree in The Whispering Grove for this purpose. Lilli's fiance and The Phantom come to the kingdom to set her free. The wood statue begin to chant the name "Phan-Toom".
