"Treasure of the Skull Cave" is a 1966 King Comics story written by Dick Wood, after an original script by Lee Falk, and with art by Bill Lignante.

Plot synopsis

Cappy Swargo and Pirate Pete are given the idea to steal the Phantom's treasure by Buba the Llongo. They hatch a plan with the help of the General, who breaks them out of jail. When Cappy is shown the Major Treasure Room he thinks it is worthless and calls off the heist. Meanwhile, the Phantom was following Cappy and summons the rest of the robbers into a trap.
