"The Sea Jackals" is a 1996 Team Fantomen story, written by Donne Avenell, with art by Kari Leppänen.

Plot synopsis

In 1740 The Phantom is travelling on a ship to England when the ship is wrecked on the coast of Cornwall, run ashore by a fire beacon in the wrong place. When the crew abandons ship they are killed by wreckers waiting on the beach. The Phantom manages to escape and call for help from squire Know, justice of the peace. Visiting the village nearby, The Phantom learns that the villagers are involved with shipwrecking.
