The Phantom publications in Germany
The Phantom has been featured in several publications in Germany (or West Germany, prior to 1990). From the late 1980's until 2022 there was no Phantomcomic released in Germany. Currently, there are four regular Phantom publications.
Wick is currently publishing all the storys, which are painted by José María Ortiz Tafalla.
Zauberstern has published every other month a mixture of US, Australian, Swedish and newspaper stories.
ECR is publishing the newspaper stories by Sy Barry from old newspaperreprints.
Kult Comics started publishing stories from French illustrator Jean-Yves Mitton, together with various authors, which created stories for the Swedish magazine Fantomen.

In addition, American magazine Overseas Weekly have been distributed and sold in Germany. It was a publication destined to the American forces in Europe (the main part of them were in Germany) and it included a comics supplement - like the usual American newspapers.
