Plot synopsis
The 5th Phantom and his pet cormorant Loki discover a shipwreck and saves the survivors. They are samurais from Japan, and the Phantom learns their fighting techniques from their master Miyamoto. Later, men from the Highlands come to the jungle to find great athletes, but the athletes never return from the Highlands. Masked and under the alias "Nemesis", the Phantom enters a competition in the Llongo village and is offered money from Prince Kalil's men to enter his competition in the Highlands. Prince Kalil believes he is a descendant of the Roman Emperor Caligula, and his competitions are Gladiator games. The athletes are held as prisoners and forced to compete in the gladiator games until they die. The Phantom reveals who he really is, and Kalil releases ten tigers to kill him. But thanks to the new skills he has learned from Miyamoto, the Phantom manages to subdue all ten tigers. He skull-marks Kalil, releases all prisoners and a new Jungle Saying is born. He also creates The Jungle Olympics the same year, and wins himself.
