"The Boy from San Diablo" is a 2003 Team Fantomen story, written by Graham Nolan, with art by Kari Leppänen.

Plot synopsis

The Phantom is on an airplane heading for Bengali, with stopovers in San Diablo and in Miami, when he meets a young boy, Jorge. The boy is being escorted to San Diablo to live there with his uncle, General De Guzman, who just happens to be a ruthless dictator there.

Behind the scenes

  • When the Phantom and Jorge are escaping, one of the San Diablo guards exclaims "pasta fazola", which means "bean pasta".
