Identifying Sciotti stories
I am trying to identify the stories the Sciotti draw with those printed in the Phantom. Using name similarities, I think that I might have identified one. I have also assembled a list of Fratelli Spada stories with no known artist(s) which thereby are possible candidates for the others . I use the English names at http://www.deepwoods.org/fantomen1960.html Here comes a list of the unidentified stories, together with my attempt.
| # | Original title | Translated title | Writer | Artist | Proposed identification | Issue of proposed story |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | "Testimone d'accusa" | Googletranslate: "Witness for the Prosecution" | ? | Sciotti | The Testament of Vengeance | Fantomen 1/1969 |
| 6 | "Rapina per professionisti" | Googletranslate: "Robbery for professionals" | ? | Sciotti | ||
| 7 | "Quattro contro l'Ombra" | "Four Against the Phantom" | ? | Sciotti | ||
| 8 | "I cinque maestri" | "The Five Teachers" | ? | Sciotti | ||
| 10 | "Diavolo innamorato" | "Devil in Love" | ? | Sciotti |
Possible stories which might be identified with these are: "Sabotage" (3/69), "Jungle Spies" (4/69), "Battle of the Gangs" (7/69), "The False President" (8/69), "The Power Struggle" (9/69), "The Devil's Desert" (10/69), "The Agitator" (11/69), "War Drums" (14/69), "The Mercenaries" (18/69), "The Head Hunters" (21/69), "The Shipwreck" (22/69), "The Smugglers" (24/69), "The Magic Eye" (26/69).
