Rafael López Espí (born in 1937) is a Spanish cover artist.
His early drawings were published as calendar illustrations when he was only 13½ years old and he soon continued with adventure and war comics, first published in Spain and later in the the UK.
During the seventies, his collaboration with Vértice editor led him to illustrate some very distinctive covers for the El Hombre Enmascarado series. After that, he drew Phantom covers for the Phantom series published by Bastei in Germany.
In the nineties, he worked for the agency Dalger Press and among other things drew comics that were published in Sweden.
