Queen Samaris was the queen of one of the mountain kingdoms in Bengali highlands.
According to the legends, Samaris, afraid of getting old, called all the witches of her kingdom and asked them to make her young and beautiful forever. Finally the queen of the witches was able to do so but with the condition that Samaris can never fall in love. The moment she loves somebody, she will get old and die. Samaris lived on for 300 years and in her role as Queen Samaris the 12th she met the 21st Phantom and fell in love with him. Consequently, the curse of the witch took effect and Samaris became instantaneously old and died.
