Milk

The 21st Phantom is well known for beeing a teetotaler- refusing to drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, and take any drugs. As a result, whenever he walks into a bar, he orders a glass of milk, which usually results in comments of derision from his fellow patrons. The first time the Phantom is seen asking for the milk is when, just before bashing up the huge goon Klob at Joe's Place, he asks the waiter to replace his steak and glass of milk in the 1951-52 story "The Professor".

However, the Phantom's habit of drinking milk is really brought into focus in the 1955 Sunday story "The Gibs Brothers". After this the subject has been repeated in many stories and two stories have been titled on this theme - the 1966 Gold Key story, "The Milk Drinker" and the 1974 Team Fantomen story, "The Milk Drinker".
