Fictional Character Biography

Kadia and her mother made the acquaintance of Heloise and Diana Palmer-Walker at the Briarson School where both have begun studying. The school's staff decided to make Kadia and Heloise roommates on the grounds that they are the only two African students at the present time. She resents her father's habit of investigating the lives of all her friends. Farewell to the Deep Woods

After the escape from New York City, as Kadia and Heloise fly into Mawitaan right after their ship arrives, we hear that Diana has arranged an apartment for the girls, with Mrs. Daft. Heloise Comes Home

Later, a flashback tells how the girls got work at the cafe. Heloise asks her dad "Is Colonel Worubu still gaga for Gugu Lee?" and then the colonel muses "Put in a good word? For two students I don't even know? The Unknown Commander must have his reasons."

When Imara Sahara shows up at the apartment, Kadia, startled, says "Mom!" and Heloise gasps. Mrs. Daft asks "Why is she calling that woman 'Mom'? She's not the Mrs. Walker I know." Thinking fast, Heloise tells her "She's our favorite aunt. ... Kadia and I have called her 'Mom' since we were little kids." The Reunion

Later, when her twin Kit shows up, Heloise has to think fast again. The Spark
