"Black Glove, Part 1" is a 1985 Team Fantomen story, written by Michael Tierres, with art by Knut Westad.

Plot synopsis

In 1662 there are string of towns on the Bengali coastline, one of them Tartom, ruled by the pirate captain Black Glove. One of his men, The Sledgehammer, plays an important role in capturing the Portuguese fort of Esakim. When The Sledgehammar decide to keep all his loot himself instead of handing it over to Black Glove, he is keel hauled and left for dead in the sea. He is saved by The Phantom with the help of Mori fishermen. When The Sledgehammer tells the Phantom that he will have his revenge on the captain, The Phantom decide that they can work together to fight the pirates.
