==Plot synopsis==
A few years into the future, [[Mawitaan|Morristown]] has been destroyed by an earthquake and [[General Bababu]] rules over what is left of the city. [[Kit]] and [[Heloise]] are studying at a US university; Kit winning a game for the football team, Heloise practicing boxing. They are both invited to a fancy dress party, both dressed as The Phantom. When Kit's girlfriend Charlotte, daughter of a diplomat, is kidnapped, both Kit and Heloise attempt to stop the kidnappers. They fail but the kidnappers are arrested shortly by the police. Afterwards they both blame the other one for messing things up.

Kit and Heloise do not speak with each other for eight months until [[Guran]] asks them to return to [[The Skull Cave]]. [[The Phantom]] has been missing for a year and Guran asks the twins to assume the role of The Phantom and negotiate with the tribes of the jungle about how the [[Bawante]] tribe can be settled peacefully. Also, [[Old man Mozz]] believes that there is an even greater threat but can not say anything specific about it.

At a temple ruin deep in the jungle a group of archaelogists are found murdered. When [[The Jungle Patrol]] shows up, the patrol members are attacked by ghost warriors led by the ancient medicine man [[Ch'Gaan]].
