==Related stories vs Templates==
I see in this page and others in the Temple of the Gods series the reference to the other parts. Should they not be in the "Preceded by" and "Followed by" boxes?
I see that the Temple of the Gods story, with its six parts, should be set up like the Phantom legends/[[The Heart of Darkness]] story, instead of having "Related stories" on each of the six individual pages.
Is there any good reason why not to do this?

::::::The "Preceded by" and "Followed by" in newspaper strip stories shows the stories that are chronologically published before and after, it has nothing to do with storyline connections (although the newpaper strip stories are implied to follow each other). If we would use this for Team Fantomen stories, it would not show other parts of the Temple of the Gods saga there, as they were published many issues apart. "Related stories" is the subheading used to show storyline connections, even when the stories are not published in direct sequence or even take place directly after each other. It's maybe not the best solution, but if we add "Preceded by" and "Followed by" to the comic book story template, it's not going to have the effect you want; the story preceding "[[Temple of the Gods, Part 3: The Secret Sect]]" would be "[[Jonathon Wild, Part 2: Sentenced to Hang]]" and the following story would be "[[Diana's Crisis, Part 5: Night of the Phantoms]]". "Heart of Darkness" has it's own template not because it's connected stories but because it was originally published as a separate comic title ("Fantomenlegender" instead of "Fantomen"). We could do something better for longer storylines such as Temple of the Gods or the Diana/Chatu series, but they both jumped between newspaper stories and comic book spinoff stories so they should keep their respective Newspaper story and Comic book story templates. A typical US comic book enlists a creative team for a longer run and they make stories that are set after each other. Team Fantomen has a different approach and the storyline of one story can be picked up many issues later; while other storylines have been published in between those parts. "Preceded by" and "Followed by" would only confuse those who haven't read these stories and don't understand why they should read "[[Diana's Crisis, Part 5: Night of the Phantoms]]" after "[[Temple of the Gods, Part 3: The Secret Sect]]" (which of course, they shouldn't!) This started with a question over whether or not "Africa" in [[The Whistleblower]] should be linked or should be excluded altogether. Other questions have been raised over what amount of detail is too much detail to include in ''Appearances'' in Articles. [[User:Mars|Mars]] having made lots of detailed contributions recently (November/December 2023), are they too detailed?

Should there be a limit or guide on what goes into ''Appearances'' or should it be included if it appears in the story?

I say this is an encyclopedia of the Phantom, if it is identified in a story, it should be included in the Article.

:::We don't want to set a precedent that means that we will have to raise all of the thousands of story articles to a level that means too much work in order to be consistent. That's why we put a cap on the story summaries, that in some cases became almost complete short stories in text form. That is just too much work if we're going to be consistent across the board. In the case of appearances, i do agree with "if it is identified in a story, it should be included in the article" (although "seats on row 39" made me chuckle). We don't have to create linked articles for all levels though. Countries is a good level for linked articles, so no linked article for Africa or for Cape Town (that should be under the country of [[South Africa (location)]] instead). It has "The Lost Valley" as the story arc title, with the subtitle underneath (in this case "Maelstrom"), followed with the part set out explicitly, although in brackets: "(Part one of 3)". I waited to see when the three parts were published to see how the others were presented. The second installment follows the exact same structure. The third installment is shown as "The Lost Valley Part 3" with the subtitle underneath.

Also, i think that Operation Domino should by written "Operation Domino Chapter One: A Lion's Heart" and so on. I did not proof read these stories but i can't imagine anything else than cool design being the purpose for placing the Chapter number last. Can someone please pull Delboj into line? The power of administrator has gone to his head - see [[User talk:Mars]].<br>
Despite the fact that every change I make is supported by a lengthy history of that practice on this website - which I go to great pains to set out and explain - Delboj makes problems where there is no issue, simply because he sees things differently.<br>
Never does Delboj engage in conversation or explain his position. Delboj only states his opinion as if Divine Truth has been revealed to him alone.<br>
Unfortunately, being an administrator, Delboj is now abusing that power by locking pages as his answer to a difference of view - see [[Protection log]] on 15 August 2025.<br>
<br>P.s. for any who read my talk page, please excuse my French. I am powerless in these incredibly frustrating situations manufactured by Delboj. (It was so frustrating that I forgot to sign off.) In relation to the other administrators - this is completely fine, but someone needs to keep Delboj on a leash. The other administrators should not need to come to my rescue (or anyone else's) because one administrator - Delboj - thinks so highly of himself. <br>

== Plot synopsis ==
The story picks up from the previous story. Rex and Captain Lara are visiting the Skull Cave for the 15th birthday of Kit and Heloise. Rex and Captain Lara, tell both the Phantom and Diana that the tradition does not allow a royal to love a commoner and how a group of insurgents, lead by Dumat, are planning to use violence to separate them. Diana persuades the Phantom to go along Rex and Captain Lara back to the Kingdom of Baronkhan and stop the
this group of insurgents.

The Phantom accompanies Rex and Captain Lara to the Misty Mountains and during the journey Rex briefs the Phantom about his enemies: Dumat, Kavik and Girok. That same night while Rex and Captain Lara are sleeping, the Phantom reaches Barokhan and with the help of Colonel Petra uses his legend to spread fear among the followers of the insurgents. The next morning Captain Lara and Rex wake up to find that the Phantom has gone alone on his mission.

After hearing about the Phantom's arrival at Barokhan, Kavik unsuccessfully tries to call Girok and then decides to go personally to his home. Meanwhile, the Phantom has marked Girok with the Skull Mark and forces him to reveal the locations of the arms caches around the city.

Kavik finds the furniture at Girok's place destroyed and assumnes that Prince Rex has found Girok and taken him prisoner. So Kavik goes to Dumat's house in panic. On hearing about the Phantom's arrival at Barokhanand Dumat decides to contact the spies they have inside the Palace of Barokhan, but their reports don't show anything strange. Dumat calms down Kavik and after hearing the legend about the Phantom, Dumat ignores it and goes upstairs to his room to dress himself before going to find Girok alongwith Kavik.

Downstairs the Phantom arrives and Kavik is thrown out through the window and spirited away by the Phantom. Following the screams of Kavik, Dumat comes down to find only the broken window and presumes that Kavik has panicked and run away. Dumat takes the keys of the Arms Caches and decides to do the job himself praying the Phantom hasn’t found out what the fight is really about.

After dealing with Girok and Kavik, The Phantom goes to the bedroom of Colonel Petra and with the help of a map marks for him every single one of the Arms Caches shown by Girok. The Phantom asks Colonel Petra not to make any move that would lead Dumat to suspect that his plot is known.

Meanwhile, a foreign spy paradrops down to Dumat's house with the mission to kill him. Not finding Dmat the spy/the Captain decides to wait for him. But Dumat never arrives in time and when the spy wakes up, he finds the Phantom in a chair aside him. The Captain tries to kill the Phantom and the Phantom tries to stop him without hurting him.

At the beginning the Captain believes that the Phantom is working for Dumat so he tries to kill him with his guns, knife and later by unarmed combat. But the Phantom stops every move he makes and reveals that he is working for Rex's side. The Captain lets slip the real motivation of Dumat. One the Phantom suspected from the beginning...

Dumat isn't just another Royalist kook, who believes Royalty can’t marry the commoners, but Dumat is a Bomb Builder, who is financed by "The Nomad". The Hard Drive the Phantom found in the Nomad lair, has led the forces of various states to search for the Nomad acolytes like Dumat and kill them. But The Phantom won't allow the Captain to kill Dumat. Determined to kill Dumat, the Captain hits the Phantom from behind and the noises alert Dumat, who takes his car and decides to kill the Phantom even at the cost of his own life in an attempt to reveal the true nature of the Phantom.

After Dumat explodes his own car againts the wall, trying to kill the Phantom, both the Phantom and the Captain, talk to Colonel Petra and his armed forces, just before the Phantom leaves the kingdom back to Bangalla. Next morning, Colonel Petra updates Prince Rex and leads him and Captain Lara to the Arms Caches around the city, where Girok and Kavik are trapped.

The Barokhan Army forces take the guns and explosives from the Arms Caches around the city and Prince Rex takes advantage of the situation to kiss Captain Lara. The next day, Prince Rex pardons the Captain who had tried to kill Dumat and in gratitude, the Captain thanks him before leaving for his country in a big plane.

In the Chronicle Room Diana tries to ask the Phantom his point of view about the relationship of Rex and Captain Lara, if it was fling or true love. But the Phantom doesn’t care a lot about that kind of a thing and jokes about how he didn’t have much time to see them while he was in Baronkhan.

'''Baronkhan''' is the greatest country of [[the Misty Mountains]] and until the discovery of the true heir to the throne, it was also a country of slavery and tyranny.

== History ==
Baronkhan seems to have been founded around 500 years ago. Like most of the countries in the Misty Mountains, it was for a very long time a place of tyranny and slavery. Finally, [[The Old Prince of Baronkhan|its old ruler]] became father of a daughter, [[Lisandra]], his only child. Lisandra went to a school in Europe, fell in love with a fellow student, and married him in secret. The old ruler was outraged and tried to annull the marriage, but too late; Lisandra was pregnant. At the time of birth, Lisandra died, but her son survived. The day after, Lisandra's husband died mysteriously. The old Prince of Baronkhan then ordered Lisandra's son to be taken away for adoption and forbade anyone to ever mention Lisandra's name again in the whole country. However, his evil cousin [[Badur]] tried to kill the baby, only by the brave acts of the boy's nurse, [[Norada]], did the boy survive and was finally found and adopted by [[the 21st Phantom|the Phantom]] who named him [[Rex]].

Twelve years later, the old ruler found out about the plot. Slavery was then abolished as an honor to Rex. The evil Badur was sentenced to be drawn and quartered, however, Rex made the old ruler change the punishment so that Badur was let to live, thereby signaling a new course in punishments.

Later, another attempt on Rex, and the old Prince's life was made, and [[count Semon]], the mastermind behind it, was, together with his two supporters, informed that the normal punishment would have been drawn and quartered but that Rex had changed it hard labor.{{Storylink|Visit to Baronkhan}}

When [[count Veronk]], made an attempt on Rex' life, [[the Old Prince of Baronkhan|the old Prince of Baronkhan]] died of a heart attack. This time there was never any talk about any breaking on the wheel, but count Veronk and his supporter were deported to the [[Tirangi]] tribe.{{Storylink|Ruler of Baronkhan}}

When sergeant John made an attempt on Prince Rex' life, he was sentenced to hanging (though later pardoned), thereby indicating that drawn and quartered had been abolished as a capital punishment.{{Storylink|Rex: Prince of Baronkhan}}

There have also been some problems with their neighbor country [[Shambad]] concerning the border line. Though this has been eased up.

== Plot synopsis ==
[[Diana Palmer-Walker|Diana]] comes and visits [[the 21st Phantom|the Phantom]]. She is introduced to [[Venus]], that is to be her horse.

During her visits, the subject of ascention to the role as [[the Phantom]] comes up. The Phantom states that if he would die without any heir, it would be the end of the Phantom. [[Rex]] and [[Tom-Tom]] overhear their conversation and becomes troubled. They ask [[Guran]] what would happen if the Phantom would die without any heir. Guran dismisses the question with the mere assertion that there have always been a Phantom and there will always be one.

Meanwhile, Diana and the Phantom travels to [[Eden]] and enjoy themselves, while the Phantom struggles with the task of finding a good way in proposing to Diana, though he fails.

Rex and Tom-Tom are deeply troubled by the thought that the Phantom might die without any heir, they therefore decides to take matters in their own hands. They write a letter to Diana in the name of the Phantom in which they propose to her and explains that the Phantom needs an heir. They then sign the letter "Uncle Walker" and put it on Diana's bed.

When Diana and the Phantom returns from Eden, they asks if Diana feel tired and then continues to watch for any sign of tiredness until Diana finally feels tired and decides to go to bed. At this point, both the boys cries "finally", a reaction that somewhat amuses the adults.

When she goes to bed, Diana discover the letter. Rex and Tom-Tom waits for some kind of reaction, but the only reaction that comes is that Diana asks the Phantom, without the boys hearing anything, if he asked Rex or Tom-Tom to give her anything. The Phantom becomes a little bit startled and says no.

The visit is then over and Diana and the Phantom travels back to civilization and the airport of [[Mawitaan]]. There, Diana says that she has got a letter which she think is from Rex and Tom-Tom. She hands over the letter and says that the answer is yes. Then she enters the airplane and a gust of wind blows away the letter. The Phantom catches it and then reads it. He is then filled with joy because she said yes and start running along the plane so that Diana could see him and realize how exalted he is. He then joyfully rides back to the jungle, and the natives is also filled with joy because the Phantom is so joyful.

Back at [[the Skull Cave]], [[Taru Tagama-Luaga|miss Tagama]] has found out what the boys did and has made ready to apologize to the Phantom. However, the Phantom is so filled with joy that they do not have to do it.

==Plot synopsis==
[[Rex]] and [[Tom-Tom]] ask [[the 21st Phantom|the Phantom]] about an old book and a deformed hand in a jar which they discover in [[the Major Treasure Room|the Main Treasure Room]]. The Phantom tell them they are artifacts from an adventure with [[the 13th Phantom]].

The Phantom reads from the chronicles about the story of the 13th Phantom who helps Jacob Grimm receive medical care at a hospital after an accident. The Phantom and Jacob then continue their travels together while they are heading in the same direction. They rescue people travelling by carriage from wolves as they travel through the forest at night before escorting them to their destination, the Castle Rosenhag.

As they resume their travels the next day they realise something is wrong and investigate the Faustenberg family. They discover that there were twins born on Walpurgis Night and the Baroness they met was not the one they learned about through a portrait at the hospital, but instead was her twin sister.

They return to the castle to rescue Lorelly from her grandmother's evil sister and uncover a horrifying truth.

== Plot synopsis ==
After helping to imprison the Bent Beak Mob [[The 21st Phantom|the Phantom]] visits [[Diana Palmer-Walker|Diana]] who is recovering from an illness and cannot walk. [[Byron]] says farewell and leaves as the Phantom arrives.

Soon after, Prince Karna of Ismani renews the annual Ismani pledge of loyalty to the Phantom, to obey the Phantom's Law and the Phantom's Peace, and presents a skull to the Phantom in token of that pledge. In return, the Phantom renews his pledge to fight against piracy, greed and injustice in all of their many shapes.

Later, [[Dave Palmer|Uncle Dave]] helps the Phantom to build up the courage to propose to Diana after asking her if she would say yes to his proposal for marriage. When the Phantom eventually does ask Diana to marry him, she says yes. When the doctor visits he tells Diana that she is healed and the only reason she cannot walk is because she does not want to enough. Diana decides she cannot marry the Phantom and calls off the engagement, lying to the Phantom that she really loves Byron. When the Phantom leaves, Diana regrets her mistake and gets up, walking again, to find him. The Phantom tells Byron what Diana told him and leaves. Diana finds Byron and tells him that she lied because she thought she would never be able to walk again.

The Phantom sees Diana and Byron walking together.

There might be some tribes missing from the list - Frew's Phantom Encyclopedia claims to have counted a total 76 tribes (although no actual list appear). The Wiki list atleast appears to be identical with the Frew list up until #26, since The Rope People appeares as No 26 on both lists.

Are the "Oogaan" tribe of "The Rogue Elephant" (D99) and the "Oongaan" tribe of "The Lost Catacombs" (S166) the same tribe? I added the Oo<b>n</b>gaans to the list, but maybe it's just a misspelling, like "Boomsbay" / "Boomsby" Prison in "The Crime Apprentices" (D215).

I found that the tribe"Sinku" was introduced in 1967 in the King comics story "The Story of Hero" by Bill Harris. I have therefore added it to the list of tribes Created by Gold Key, King Comics and Charlton Comics. However, this tribe is also included in the list of tribes Created by Team Fantomen. It has been attributed to year 1970 and to story "The Cruel Queen". As I have not read that story so I have not deleted that reference. Administrators of the site may decide.
