==Plot summary==
[[Sagan Cruz|Sagan]] stumbles across records of a mysterious white-haired man who was friends with [[the Phantom]] 20 years ago, in the time of [[the 24th Phantom|Kit]]'s [[the 23rd Phantom|father]]. Her data search for information about him alerts [[Graft]] who upon reporting the lead to the Madisons is informed by the Maxwell Sr consciousness that it is his old friend Steele. Mr Cairo tips Sagan off where to look in the physical archive for information about the man as all databases have been disabled for searches for this man. Sagan finds out that the man was a stage magician called "The Spetacular Steele" in 1995. Graft and Maxwell Jr seek up Steele to find the Phantom, but are driven back by illusions.

Steele realizes that something is going on and seeks up the Phantom. He had been a crime fighter using illusions, but when biots started getting popular he retired from crime fighting as biots were immune to his illusions, manufacturing weapons for the 23rd Phantom instead.

Realizing that Graft and the Madisons will next seek out his mansion, where he stores sensitive equipment and information that could lead them to the Phantom, Steele leads the way there to stop them. At the mansion Graft tries to ambush them, but they destroy the place and bring with them the upgraded old car of the 23rd Phantom, known as Hero.

'''''Katrineholmskuriren''''' is a local [[The Phantom publications in Sweden|Swedish]] newspaper that published "[[The Phantom]]" [[Daily stories|daily strip]]. It was published six days a week while publishing the strip. Later it has dropped to fewer days.
== History ==
It is published in the three "kommuns" Katrineholm (hence its name), Flen, and Vingåker.

Originally the Phantom was referred to as Dragos and the strip was called "Dragos – den mystiske mannen" ("Dragos – the mysterious man"), eventually dropped to just "Dragos". After some time the title disapppeared to eventually being replaced by "Fantomen", while the Phantom continuously referred to as Dragos. In 1983 during the publication of "[[The Heirs (daily story)|The Heirs]]", the name Dragos was finally dropped from the strip and replaced by Fantomen.

It published [[daily stories]] from the 8th of December 1942 until the end of 1996, when they decided to print strips in color and "[[The Phantom]]", the only "serious" strip, seized to be published in Katrineholmskuriren.
